So, in MENTOR$CHIP, simply walking around with your mobile phone and geo-location map, students can become instantly aware of traditional, new, and/or Mentor$chip scholarship opportunity offerings.
Why should a 10-year-old go around the neighborhood?
A 10-year-old student should be able to go around their neighborhood and discover safe places that hold challenges, quests and tasks gamified as achievable opportunities. This allows them to accumulate scholarship funds in their digital wallets that will help to cover the needs of their post-secondary educational pursuits.
Is it just the local neighborhood where they explore or are they encouraged to go farther?
We definitely want students to explore their immediate neighborhood and community. However, they are also encouraged to use thier map to go further into other cities and states to search for applicable opportunities. With our gamified, but personalized, scholarship navigation experience that matches eligibility and qualifications to each respective student seeker, opportunities can be discovered near or far.
If a student is 10-years-old, they won't know the university they are actually targeting or going to attend. How do you prevent them from doing 'unrewarding' work?
As with any scholarship, there are specific requirements and objectives that must be met before actually securing the promised funds or having those funds transmitted to their respective institution. At MentorSchip, a students profile information serves as the gate keeper for all scholarship access and awareness.
Do you have to be a US citizen to receive funds?
No, Funds are distributed to the student awardees via request and transfer to the University or Institution designted by the student.
Where are funds stored?
Each user's funds are stored internally with records of all digital transactions maintained and secured on the Blockchain.
What is the relation of the money and the specific location?
The award amount of the opportunity is the driving force behind each scholarship search. The specific location allows discovery to happen naturally in one's own daily ventures, routines and habits. Additionally, by geo caching (digitally planting a virtual discovery object), awareness and instant access can be placed at safe and public locations. Business/Sponsors, can advertise and award scholarships onsite, mentors can plant scholarships at notable places of interest or academia, and students can discover new locations in their own community to accumulate education dollars, and even explore apprenticeship opportunities at specific locations near them.
Is there ever a situation where a student wouldn't qualify after doing work?

No, Mentor$chip is a striving towards becoming a global force for opportunity awareness and access. For now, our Professional Mentors, Company Sponsors, Parent Guardians, and Student Seekers are based here in the United states, however, there are already people internationally who are ready in waiting to contribute to our shared scholarship navigation experience.
What is the timeline for scaling up to be global?
Mentor$chip should be up and running for global interactions in 2023 – For now we are focused in the USA and reducing the $1.8 Trillion Dollars Student loan deficit; of which over 80% is held by black student borrowers.
Are there potential complications of getting scholarships to a school that doesn't accept that particular one?
